Today’s testimony is that of a young woman who attempted to take her own life by placing a gun to her heart and pulling the trigger.  By all natural reasons, she should have died on the spot…but God.  The evil spirit of suicide is on the rampage throughout the world, causing many to discharge themselves to an eternity in Hell, not realizing that Jesus is the answer to every situation.

Evangelist Jean James tells the compelling story of how her life could have ended needlessly, leaving four motherless children.  But God changed her story.  He intervened on her behalf, knowing the potential she held within her to cause many others to be saved and blessed.  Sis. James is eternally grateful to God and lives a life of dedication and devotion daily.  Let’s listen to her compelling story.    (Her testimony begins at 1408 and ends at 2104).

The portion of her testimony that you just heard ended just after she was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost.  Let’s go back to a point in her life when she was given one year to live, then decided to move to Dallas with her four daughters.  This was just before God saved her and filled her with the Holy Ghost.

Much damage had been done to my inner organs, and my heart was severely affected.  The doctors gave me one year to live.  Despite the doctor’s prognosis for my life, from 1977 to 1988, I lived a destructive lifestyle.  I only loved my four daughters.  In 1979, I packed up and, along with my girls, moved to Dallas, Texas, not knowing where we would live.  Yet, God had mercy on me.

Once we arrived in Dallas, I realized that I was running from myself.  The devil and the suicidal spirit came right along with me.  Now my daughters were grown.  They were either in College, in the military, or living on their own.  God saved me in 1988 and began to mold me into a new creature in Christ Jesus.

I remember sleeping on Bachman Lake once and awakening to find a man standing over me.  He told me he wasn’t going to do any harm; he just wanted to know if I was okay.  After he left, I cried unto the Lord, because my Mother had not raised me to be a street person.

Although I had very little, God began to lay it upon my heart to put food in my purse to give to some of the homeless people as I went back and forth to work and to church, while riding the bus.  This allowed me to tell them about Jesus, about how He delivered me and what He was doing in my life.  God gave me a spiritual burden for homeless people.  On Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, my daughters and I would fix dinner, wrap plates of food, and take them out to the homeless.  With love and kindness, God drew many of them and gave them a mind to come to my church, Full Gospel Holy Temple.  We witnessed other lives being changed.

Thirty-six years have passed since the Lord saved me.  I love God with my whole heart, soul, and mind.  He is my very best friend, and I know every day He wakes me to do His will, and not my own.  Through my experiences, God reinforced my courage and commitment to go, even more so, to the homeless and to bring them Christ in love and not in fear.  I am yet in God’s mold.

I am very grateful to the Late Apostle Murray, to Dr. Shirley Murray, and to my current Pastor and First Lady, Apostle H. L. Murray, Jr.,  and Lady Daniele, for their love for mankind and for teaching me what I know about how to please the Lord.    I was able to retire in 2013 and am now a full-time disciple of Christ, working in His vineyard.

Dear hearts, perhaps since you’ve heard this powerful testimony, you also want to be saved.  You may feel conviction for your life of sin and desire to be set free.   Do you also want to live for God?    The good news is, can!  God loves you so much that He sent his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die for you so that your soul can be saved.

The method for salvation that God put in place is a very simple one.   You simply repent of your sins, invite Jesus to save you, and commit to living for Him.  He is well able to save your soul and keep you if you want to be kept.  Next, ask God for the power of the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in tongues.  You need this power to live the life that He requires.

Repeat the words that I will provide or similar ones, and you are saved.  Remember, I can provide the words, but you must give the sincerity.  Say, “Father, forgive me of all my sins.  Save my soul.  If you save me, I will live for you forever.”

Once you have made your commitment to God and you mean it with all your heart, your soul will be immediately translated from the Kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light.  Jesus will come into your heart and let you know that you are saved.

Next, ask God for the infilling of the Holy Ghost.  The Bible says in Luke 11:13 that He will give the Holy Spirit to anyone who asks for it.

13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Ask for the infilling of the Holy Ghost in this way:  “Father, fill me with the Holy Ghost.”   You will know that you are filled with the Spirit because you will speak in new tongues.  You will receive a prayer language that empowers your spirit to communicate with God and empowers you to live a holy life.

Mark 16:17 says

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Acts 1:8 also tells us that we will receive the power that we need to live the life that God requires when we receive the Holy Ghost.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Persist in prayer until you receive the Holy Ghost, evidenced by speaking in tongues and the power to live holy.

Once you are saved, you are a new creature in Christ Jesus, and you need to become a part of a body of believers, a church, which will help you in your new walk with the Lord.  Read from the Holy Bible every day and expect the Lord to speak to you from His Word.  I invite you who are in the US to look for one of the 30+ Full Gospel Holy Temple Churches near you.  They are listed on our website, https://www.FGHT.org.

I also invite you to join my church’s YouTube community.  We livestream our services on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sunday mornings and evenings, and would love for you to join us.  We love you and are praying that God will bless you abundantly.  You may also contact me with questions, prayer requests, or to simply discuss the Lord through the comments section of any of the 240+ posts on my blog, www.strollingthrougharosegardencalledlife.blog.  May God bless you all.
