2 Thess. 2: 3-4 “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”
Rev. 13:18 “And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”

Some people today believe that they will be able to easily resist the Antichrist and live for Jesus during this awful time. To be saved, they must be willing to die for their conviction. Many will die for what they believe but now is the easiest time to be saved. Jesus will rapture His people out before the Antichrist appears. Get saved now and please, don’t miss the Rapture!
There is a book by John Fowles called the magus. I have recently purchased it, because I want to appreciate its climax. In this book an atheistic man, whom is an avid dawkinite, visits the island of fraxos and is put through a series of tribulations involving crisis actors. At the climax the antagonist places the protagonist upon the throne to judge his behavior and he has a breakdown, because as an atheist he is incapable of judgement. The antichrist could easily be an allusion to the pervasiveness of atheism. Once atheism takes hold of a man in his head he becomes god. He in his head decides what is and what is not. He speaks of egalitarianism and equality but no metric by which to allott. I’d have to look better into it, but is it requisite that the “anti-christ” be a man, or can it be an idea that has pervaded through much of the “enlightened” western world. To literally be against Christ or atheistic.
It is both a concept which is in force today and a literal man. I believe it to be a man because I believe the Word of God to be infallible. Read the Book of Revelations and you will know beyond a reasonable doubt that it is a man.
