God is a Healer: A Victorious Testimony of Healing

According to Matthew 15: 26 we are told that healing is the children’s bread.

“But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.”

There are many people who don’t know that the God of the Bible is still active in the lives of people today.  This post presents the testimony of a young man who was born with a serious health concern called hydrocephaly.

Hydrocephalus is an abnormal buildup of fluid in the cavities deep within the brain. This excess fluid causes the cavities to widen.  This widening puts pressure on the brain’s tissues.

The normal fluid inside the brain is called cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).  It is the clear, colorless fluid that protects and cushions the brain and spine.  Normally, this fluid flows through the brain’s cavities, bathing the brain and spinal cord before being reabsorbed into the bloodstream.  Typically, there is a balance between the amount of fluid produced and reabsorbed.  However, if there is either a blockage in the normal flow or absorption of CSF, it can result in a buildup of CSF.  The pressure of too much CSF can keep the brain from functioning properly and cause brain damage and even death.

Treatment is available for the condition, but it may take multiple surgeries and lifelong monitoring.  With treatment, many people lead normal and productive lives.

The young man of our story today is saved, sanctified and he lives for the Lord.  Recently he gave his testimony on social media.    It is a testimony that will inspire and encourage others who depend upon the mercies of God every day.

Let’s read the young man’s story in his own words and rejoice in the God of His salvation.  Listen as this young man gives God the glory and honor for the mighty things that He has done in his life.  It is our prayer that others who may have this same condition or any other situation that could be life-threatening are encouraged to put their lives in the Hands of the Lord.  God is indeed a keeper to those who want to be kept.

TESTIMONY ALERT!!!! God has truly had his hand over my life and has kept me alive despite what I have been through ever since birth. Some of you have already heard my mother’s testimony about my condition at birth involving having fluid on my brain. For those who don’t, I was born with this condition that I later learned was called hydrocephalus. Because of this, I have had a shunt. Years later, however, God has kept me well. I’m STILL in good health, STILL got the activities of my limbs, STILL in my right mind. I had a recent checkup a few days ago with the doctors overseeing my condition and after all the tests and X-rays, the doctor didn’t say they were “ok” or “good” NO! HE SAID THEY WERE PERFECT!! Did you hear me? PERFECT!! It could have been any other way ya’ll, but here I am, on the verge of graduating from college. God has been good to me and I sincerely thank him and praise him for all the great and mighty things he’s done in my life.

What a Mighty God we serve.  This young man is a College student, majoring in Communication and Technology.  He expects to complete his studies within the upcoming school year and he will be a college graduate!  Obviously, there is no brain damage in spite of all that he’s experienced.  God is a good God.  What he had done for JC, He will also do for you.  Just repent of your sins, get saved, and give your life to Him.  Trust God and He will lead you to an expected end.
